LOL, I just paid $50 for a $60 watt bulb. Considering the energy savings and the short life and cost of incandescent bulbs, it's a deal. Make sure to buy a bulb with at least 700 lumins or you'll be disappointed. I love everything about mine, I'm going to buy a package of six to replace other bulbs. They are so much better than incandescent lighting or CFL. Besides, my utility provider is jacking up prices AGAIN.
>A bulb that will NEVER have to be changed again in your lifetime. It's a deal granny.<
Ha. You gotta be kidding. I can buy a 40W incandescent bulb for well under a buck, so 'granny' who has less than 30 years to live is better off stocking up on old school incandescent bulbs than buying that expensive LED lamp.
A couple of weeks ago Home Depot had several displays of LEDs on special - I bought 40 w bulbs with CREE LED technology for $8 each.I don't know if this was closing out old inventory but it was a good deal.
