Cree, Inc. Message Board

  • jeffreyjk8 jeffreyjk8 Mar 6, 2013 2:25 PM Flag

    Get ready to fall

Stock trading over 100X earnings, even if the lightbulb does well in 9 months like they hope, this looks overvalued, probably run another few pointed, then foresee selling. When everyone loves you, you are never that great. Every analyst is on this one now, and they are always telling you too late. Strong sell due to valuation.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • You should look at cash flow. It is very strong as is the balance sheet. Cree is writing down non cash items like good will which reduces earnings and taxes.

      • So good to see a couple of old names....you and Davebugs from back before the board take-over.
I was going thru the file and my first buy on Cree was 2008. Evidently u have held thru all the bull also. Feels good ! I traded it a few times on the side, but it sure feels good to have the initial stuff make some returns like I bet it would.
I agree with you, the only sour part of this has been how management and directors have consistently taken handsome stock rewards that were immediate vested and sell. Nothing I see has been given with "future" vesting.
        Oh, well.....ride the wave !
