Nice timing on your purchase. You probably have the greatest one month appreciation from your acquisition price to the current price in the history of this company. Of course Buffet said he was giving another billion or two to his associates to invest and since they have been buying DTV every quarter for the last five quarters, I am sure they bought a bunch more during the last month during its weakness.
Considering that other entertainment companies have P/Es of 16-20 and DTV has among the best earnings per share and growth prospects, especially with Latin America holding the next World Cup and the next summer Olympics, I suspect we will see DTV hit a P/E at the high range of the entertainment companies by the time we reach the end of 2015. That is if Buffet does not buy the entire thing. Frankly, I see American Telephone buying it for $65-70 per share. Imagine a telephone company that can market phone, cell phone and internet with its own TV operation. What a monster company that would be.
Frankly, I hope no one buys DTV so I can watch it run to $100 by the end of the Olympics in 2016.
