What has significantly changed within the day to day operations of EPD that would cause it to be worth 1/3 less? THey lost an exceptionally talented man who had a great vision, but he surrounded himself with many talented people. Are they not skilled enough to run the company? If you don't think so, why not?
I laugh as this is like my newspaper! People with no true knowledge make predictions and comments with no facts or intelligence to support them. I worry about my BRK stock as Warren Buffett dies and people will panic. When people of importance are in their 70's and 80's, the management is not thinking they are 25 so they will not be taken by surprise! This is called "buy on the dips"! In this case no dip may occur - it will at BRK I would think as much more of an event (I am not an expert on either case I will admit) and I think about that but that is risk/reward investing!
This stock will tank 30% tommorow 29-Mar-10 07:33 pm
Duncan is dead, this is the end of EPD, run
Good, One can only hope. The fundamentals of EPD hasn`t changed one iota. Dan Duncan will certainly be missed, but I would imagine his replacement will carry on his tradition of Making Money for Unit Holders and the Company. I`ll buy all I can get if it dips substantially. Dan was the Man i`ll admit, however I believe EPD will ultimately stay Strong and Solid.
