    Did I miss the Dividend

I sold a bunch of EPD today during normal trading hours. Since the transaction will not clear until next Tuesday, and Extended Dividend Date was 7/27, am I still eligible for the dividend?

    • This happens on every energy board I post on. Ask an honest question, and the angry bitter high-brows show their ugliness. A message board is a place to communicate, listen, learn, and ask questions. If questions offend you so much, ignore them. But to insult someone who asks a simple question says something about You on the inside. Take a chill pill, live and let live.

    • Yes, you will get the distribution. If you had sold on Wednesday you still would have received the distribution. The ex-date is a very simple and easy to understand concept, it simply means that when the market opens for trading on the ex-date, the stock now sells without the dividend (distribution for mlp's).
