Anyone hear any commitment news on the Marcellus ethane pipeline project? Perhaps mind game going on hear, playing chicken. PADD-3 vs PADD-1. Guess Shell will make the first move. EPD shareholders should be advised, given status of whats up. Anyone have news I missed?
Cost is my point. Alot has changed over the years with new haz mat pipeline const. Environment and PHMSA requirements in place today that were not in existence when TEPPCO lines were laid. Thus in SW PA. there will likely be alot of new ROW required. For a new 16-inch liquid line, it's going to be costly IMO, but if demand is there and profit to be made go for it. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if the existing 6 and 8-inch lines, now 40-50yrs old, be replaced in places. As compared to SXL east/west, haven't heard anything on cost to upgrade the line. I think it is a 10-inch line. Nonetheless were I hunt, RRC is drilling gangbusters so the supply side is increasing. By tje looks of the EPD map, EPD will pickup Dominion and Camaim as well.
