    EEP vs. EPD

" EPD also appears both able and willing to increase the rate of distribution increases from .0075 to .01. EPD"

Where did you find this information? Is there a link?

Fully agree with your comments, EPD is a core long-term holding of mine. If they plan on increasing the quaterly distribution bump rate that would be fantastic news.

    Thanks,

    • I spoke with EPD. Very simple in that by increasing their distribution by the same amount for about 7 years each quarter they created a decline in the rate of increase. If you have questions give EPD IR a call! Also listen to several of the recent presentations. The change is not written in stone until approved by the Board of Directors, but it is pretty simple they need to increase by more than .0075 vert shortly.

I will note that increasing to .01 means the following. If you own about $100,000 worth of EPD you own about 2200 units. The increase would give you an additional $22 in quarter #1 and $44 the next quarter. This would increase your distributions by $220 in year #1 or an increase of .0022% in your rate of return.

      Absolutely agree.

    • It may be able to but has shown no indication it is willing to.

Distribution increase amount has been essentially the same since 2004 (meaning the percentage increase is getting smaller each quarter).
