So I heard MLPs payout great dividends but I'm really new to this so I'm a tad confused still. How would I calculate my quarterly dividend if I bought a $10,000 investment in Enterprise? Do I just multiply that dollar amount by the current yield every quarter? Anyone actually make money collecting these distributions or is it all hype?
Is this message serious? You have got to be kidding. You can figure out how tolook up the unit/share price on Yahoo and multiply by the distribution rate also on Yahoo? To find out if anyone made money take a look at the historical prices. The unit price in 1998 adjusted for distributions is under $3.
