    • I am very happy about the market today. I was thinking about buying FNM yesterday, and I am glad that I waited until it reached 12 today at the end. Bad markets are not just good for shorts, they give people opportunities to buy in. Market not worth holding anything overnight, but I am making an exception here.

    • i have been long fannie, but tell me why anyone should buy this stock.when it rallied this week i was loving it, but with all the mortgage problems and the ever increasing foreclosure happening i could see why it got hit so hard today.if it does bounce, its not the kind of stock to own and sleep good at night.im not bashing just trying to figure this out.

      • The reason to own this stock is pretty simple. This stock represents US Economy. If FNM and FRE wold to fail, that would the end of this country as we know it. Forget about recession, depression, it's an all out civil war and a complete disintegration of this society. Does anyone here believes this will happen, if so, what are you doing here, leave the civilization and buy a cabin in Montana.
