a big clue about the future of fnma and fmcc

The Street's article "Figure Out Government's Role in Housing, Bernanke Tells Lawmakers." The fed has no clue what to do still. FNMA and FMCC making billions will be around a long long time. Would the fed be foolish enough to risk screwing up such a huge economic issue after all we have been through???

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • MR CHI...where do you stand on Fannie and Freddie? Everyone appreciates your input here, but you don't seem to be sincere enough to hold any particular view. Regarding your question about why the author of the street article was paid: certainly you know why he was paid to write that article.
He was paid because TheStreet felt it would gain readership on their website, a website that also adverstises services TheStreet supplies, with the hopes of selling those services to readers. Do you ask yourself why yahoo provides a forum for people to post messages on the messageboard. I'm sure you are a good person, but that question could be quite insulting to many here. It is common knowledge as to why commeicial enterprises do ANYTHING, in fact so common among Americans, especially those like here who most likely have more than a high school education that we do not need to ask why anyone does anything in the arena of commercialism. Again, your input is important. However, your audience here is not unaware of the givings and misgivings of a free enterprise system. Personally, I am pleased that you ask these question, but it is better to ask them to yourself and answer them for yourself. When the answers are crystallized in your mentation, then you should assert them rather than challenge others to ask and answer those same questions; again, especially here where those questions and answers are part of our daily lives. Best Regards and please take no offense. In fact, if it would please you, feel free to call me an idiot.
