    CSC Earnings

CSC will once again meet analyst expectations for
its earnings. $0.48 is predicted, and I would guess
it will be within one penny of that. CSC stock is
coming up from its bottoms, and is approaching a new
high. It is about time. At $66, CSC is selling at 30
times earnings. Stocks with a 6% growth are selling at
15 times earnings. At a 20% growth, CSC ought to be
selling at 45 times earnings. One of the reason it is not
at 45 times, is that analyst do not believe its 20%
growth can be sustained. I think they are wrong. CSC is
in technology when technology is hot. I don't mean
technology is hot in the stock market, it is hot in the
world. CSC has been making good decisions, partnering
with lots of international and national companies and
winning a lots of contracts. CSC should continue to grow
for many more years. By the end of next year, when
CSC is earning $3.00 a share, even at 30 times
earnings, it will be at $90.00. I think $150 is more like
it. I am still buying CSC.

    • 49-55. I am not whining. I was downsized once but
I didn't play victim and bad mouth the company that
did it. I don't engage in gossip, it is unproductive.
I wonder what you say about me when I am not within
earshot? I simply got a better job for more money. If your
any good you will too, but don't complain to bitterly
during the interview, you won't be hired.

Wrong!!!!! To most of the people. Who are you to call them
whinners??? You are a whinner yourself by complaining about
      this board. Just leave

Max is 8 weeks with 15+years experience. 5 - 9 years would normally be 5 weeks.

    • On another subject, does anyone know if there was a max on the severance....like 6 weeks. I was there much more than 6 years and that is all I got....any info?

    • I too was laid off after many years and would
like to get involved with you and your efforts. Let me
know what I should do. They promised us that bonus
plan to keep us there...and by no fault of ours, we
are not still there (I got my best review ever in
June). Looking forward to talking with you.

    • In case you're not sure about this, masticate
means to chew, not to eat. Chew me! What a sharp mind
you have. In April we were told that there was over
$1 billion in the pipeline. That means previously
contracted work that needs to be completed, not work we were
trying to get. While it's true that some people were
hired by other CSC divisions, CSC Corp. as a whole is
getting a large black eye from all of this. CSC Corp.
presents itself, with great pride, as a company that does
not layoff its employees. Regarding severance
packages, it was based on years with the company. The race
thing was real. Companies have to make tough decisions
regarding race when having large layoffs. It is not racist
to acknowledge that. If you were on the wrong end
when this happened, you would be bitter too. Why not
try to have a little compassion for those who
couldn't possibly be as intelligent, hard working and as
diligent as you.(I hope you detect just a hint of sarcasm
      here.)

    • YOUR WORDS: ...about differences in severance
packages, about age/gender/minority group as a factor
      in
      the layoff decisions.
      BITE's WORDS: Go ahead,
      be a racist, you're already a bitch.

      MORE
WORDS: You miss the point. It is not racist to expose
the racially motivated behavior of others. "Already a
bitch???"... Really, show a little class.

      YOUR WORDS:
Who actually got called back for an interview during
      the phony "job fair"?
      BITE'S WORDS: The job fair
      was real, people got hired.
      MORE WORDS: Just for
accuracy's sake, the first two round of FSG layoffs did have
real job-fairs, the latest did not.

      BITE'S
WORDS: By the way, I've been laid off before in my life
and I got a job before the severance ran out because
I WORKED HARD and didn't WHINE.

      MORE WORDS:
Your chest-thumping aside, it does beg the question of
what is a reasonable severence package.

    • the layoffs brought all these "whiners"? From
both an informational and especially an entertainment
perspective, this board was dead. You would not have stopped
      by to read it.

      If you are really concerned
with gaining investment insights, you might ponder
just how much CSC FSG contributed to gross margins
last year. Software licensing is just much more
profitable than CSC's mainstay outsourcing bidness. Then
consider what Mr. Hunnicutt has promised the street during
the CA battle in terms of financial performance.
Trouble in Austin spells trouble for CSC share prices.
You can't see that in the annual report, where
performance is not broken down by division, but you can, if
you stop to think, get an inkling from the whiners on
      this board.

Oh, and on the attitude front,
yours can use adjusting. While I was fortunate enough
to land a much better position just two weeks after
leaving CSC, I am smart enough to know that luck played a
role. The human toll of FSG mismanagement has been, and
      continues to be, great.

    • YOUR WORDS: ..and the people who are still there
      but fed up:
MY WORDS: We can take care of
      ourselves... MYOB

YOUR WORDS: For those who are still
there, do you want to be sitting around with your neck
in the layoff noose and let them pull this crap
without having to answer for it AGAIN?
      MY WORDS: All
of us are ready if it happens to us.

      YOUR
WORDS: ..the story we were told back in April about new
contracts, about being told then that over 1,000 new people
would need to be hired in the coming year just to keep
      up -
MY WORDS: Those pipeline prospects were
REAL, we just got beat by our competition and that's
      tough FOR ALL OF US.

      YOUR WORDS: ...about
differences in severance packages, about age/gender/minority
group as a factor in the layoff decisions.
      MY
WORDS: Go ahead, be a racist, you're already a
      bitch.

YOUR WORDS: Who actually got called back for an
interview during the phony "job fair"?
      MY WORDS: The
job fair was real, people got hired.

      YOUR
WORDS: Maybe we can set up a meeting place/time to talk
      to KEYE as a group.
      MY WORDS: Yeah, get your
group up, you can't do it alone because you're too
      weak.

By the way, I've been laid off before in my life and
I got a job before the severance ran out because I
      WORKED HARD and didn't WHINE.
