Maybe I've got this wrong, but my recollection was MITK sued USAA for taking MITK's technology, while USAA says they invented it themselves. If USAA feels they have the technology in-house to go it alone on MRDC, I don' t think they would have gone to TISA (or anyone else) for a relatively modest tweak like this.
Actually didn't USAA sue MITK first in Texas then Mitek tried to counter sue USAA in Delaware. Mitek's case was transferred to Texas. Anyway USAA invented the process with the help of their contractor Mitek who supposedly enhanced it with their algorithms. So USAA was running the MRDC through Mitek servers. I doubt Mitek was providing updates etc to USAA so they turned to TISA.
