This is where the prize is. Possibly the reason for the bump-up in the earnings presentation to get that out of the way (look on edgar, they've never released prelim earnings that early).
Why? They have a big month coming in March. Starting with the extra day of February. This isn't your standard industry conference that everyone and their fat uncle gets invited to. Search on google for "Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2012 Global Agriculture Conference" and you won't even find a website that lists 1000s of companies who are attending.
Here are some other presenting:
PEIX is the little dog in this bunch. Look the others up online... none of them are sub-$20 stocks (well, except TSN but just by a bit). PEIX was chosen for a reason here.
Those who held thru the rough, I believe will be rewarded tomorrow.
And unless management is totally incompetent (I'm sure some would argue that here, but I'll ignore them), why would they BUY shares in November of last year (at a time when performance wasn't as stellar as Q3) knowing that overall earnings may disappoint (granted, that was only halfway thru Q4)?? And they're still holding. Obviously, they're in it for longer than just a couple months, but GOOD THINGS ARE TO COME...
Also I had this thought. BUYOUT?? E15 is becoming a reality, ethanol plants have been gobbled up before by Valero and the likes in the past. Maybe PEIX was cleaning up shop by getting the Q4 figures out earlier than ever before, and presenting the usual fuss for the announcement and conference call. Still trying to rap my head around the early earnings announcement. Something is surely happening and will surface very soon.
Yeah...sounds right to me....lets depress the stock price and announce a buyout....lets try to make the company worth less on paper so all these mystery buyout investors will pay more for the company....seriously...do you people even think for more than a millisecond. You don't make any sense....the higher the share price the more they will get for the company....they wouldn't sell out till the share price was much higher than 1.00 or 1.50 or 1.60. if you want top dollar you have to bring the goods....they haven't shown their business model is a good investment yet. There will be no buyout till the start making profits every quarter for several quarters....buyout will happen in 2013....not 2012.
Yeah....well to answer one question they would buy at .30 cents because they knew q3 was going to be their first winning quarter with a profit since .....well since ever....well i take that back....they booked a profit during the quarter they came out of bankruptcy. they knew they couldn't lose no matter what because the price would go up without a doubt.....only an idiot wouldn't know that.....tell me something i don't know.....like who is going to file bankruptcy first....biof or peix.
