    USDA Corn Report (Larger than Expected Inventory)/EIA Ethanol Report lowest level since the EIA began tracking weekly data

    Looks Like Corn Down/Ethanol Up

    Corn supplies in the U.S. will be larger than expected thanks to. weakening foreign demand, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Friday.

    Ethanol production last week averaged 774,000 barrels a day, up from 770,000 a week earlier and the lowest level since the EIA began tracking weekly data

    ethanol production won't likely resume until after 2013 corn is harvested

        Total imports for 2012 tallied at 555 mg, with 459.2 mg (83 percent) coming directly from Brazil. Imports via Jamaica totaled 54.6 mg, while imports via El Salvador were 25 mg. Imports via Costa Rica for 2012 were 8.5 mg, while limited quantities were imported via Guatemala and Nicaragua.
