We have a family reunion coming up and I bought one of the promotions. I sent a picture with narrative under the myjones labeling promo and confess the labels came out beautifully. A little pricey but a great idea. These bottles will be a collector's item for those attending the reunion.
I invested in Jones on the strength of the Panera and Barnes and Noble deals. So far, the investment is up by 35%. I hope to do much better, however. If even half of the promise comes true for Jones, it should easily get to $2.50 from its current price of roughly a dollar. Jones is just the kind of company that I like. It is small, basically undiscovered, with a great product and a savvy marketing and management group. I believe that it has the potential to become a true rocket in the market. If it is able to get a few more deals like the Panera one (and the last conference call indicated that some are in the works) it may well break out into national prominence. If that happens, my $2.50 prediction could be changed to $10.00
We had our reunion yesterday and everyone got a kick out of the soda (myjones label) that was passed out to all. It featured three siblings, two of whom are in their 80s. The kids present liked them too and all liked the soda who drank it. If empty, bottles can be filled with colored water or colored layers of sand, etc. Many wouldn't open theirs prefering to take them home as is!
Thanks for your very interesting report. The Jones (JSDA) conference call has convinced me even more that Jones is on the right track to hsve very significant earnings next year. They're only being distributed in 40% of the country thus far, and direct deals (like Panera and Barnes & Noble) are in the CEO's words "in their infancy". Exciting licensing deals are also in the works. Recently, all 5000 Hot Wheels (deal with Mattel) were sold out in 7 hours on Jonessoda.com @ 34.99. They also have a valuable patent regarding the labels which they intend to exploit. Everything seems to be coming together for strong performance. The CEO promised a number of "exciting things" in the second half of 03 which he couldn't speak about. It won't take much for this to be at least a 3 or 4 bagger IMHO. There were quite a few beverage analysts on the call. Coverage could come at any time.
