Yeah, I know Panera's food is healthier than Denny's but right Denny's is a much better stock. Same number of stores and market capitalization is around 20% of Panera's. Plus better locations. The real estate for Denny's tends to be high visibility city locations while Panera's is in big box malls.
I doubt many people who eat the garbage at Denny's own a single share of the stock. Conversely, there are lots of Panera diners who own the shares. more importantly, Panera's food will have increasing traffic and Denny's fewer going forward.
I don't have a position in PNRA, but will the Sequester and reduced incomes for some affect PNRA stock? I'm considering shorting, but haven't yet, after making a couple of hundred dollars on two former tests of shorting PNRA and hearing Cramer get ecstatic about PNRA this morning.
