I have no problem with a concept of maximizing profit. It should be the objective of any good corporation. However, when the maximizing cuts into quality, which turns into losing customers, I have a problem with it. It is bad business. Outsourcing by banks and software companies has not helped American businesses, because it hurts their customers. If they want to expend and provide customer support for Asia from India.... good idea. However, customer support by folks living in India to Americans is a bad idea - different levels of expectations, communication problems, etc ... I hope that Intuit goes under, but in a meantime I will be evaluating Microsoft Money.
