middle east news says Israel attacked a Syrian target today

not clear if a site or truck with weapons. Will this have much of an impact on price of oil or has most of Syrian oil production already been lost to civil unrest factored in?

    • I don't think Syria has significant oil themselves. But, major pipelines for neighboring Iraq's huge production to ports in the Mediteranean Sea to European ports in Greece, Italy and France, to the oil thirsty markets of Germany, etc. And perhaps more importantly, everyone understands the domino effect, when dealing with crazy regimes... now Iran is saying that an attack on Syria is an attack on it. And I remember that the Soviets also said that. Since they are desperate to keep their Navy base in Syria, what if they get involved to "defend" Syria against "outside attack".... Will the U.S. have to counter Russia... When dealing with so many bad guys (Syria, Iran, Russia, Al Qaeda, Moslem Brotherhood) it only takes a tiny excuse and we're in a huge, bloody, devastating situation before you know what made them excited to begin with. Add to that the crazies in Iraq, hizbala, chamas, is there an end to the list of blood thirsty savages with 21st century weapons in their hands ?! God played a cruel joke on the world by putting so much oil under the lunatics' feet. The U.S. will one day be grateful that a little bit was also put under ours in Canada.
