Not owned by LEE. Being sold (seemingly?) to settle debts of estate of William McLean of Bryn Mawr, PA. Circulation about 30k. Just the kind of small circulation newspaper which should have value? Paper has deteriorated over the past couple of decades( thinner with less reporting). They have outsourced their printing. Another potential marker as newspaper investors try to value the entities remaining in an industry decimated by the internet (Google,Yahoo, Craig's List).
Lets get real here- from the article in that paper, it looks like they sold the magazine and the "sound system installation" company. Oh... And the "corporate music production company". Elevator Music?!?!? Don't get me wrong...papers are in deep trouble. But this company is such a smorgasbord, it is a bellwether for everything, and nothing.
So all that is left is a typical 30k circulation newspaper and 3 weekly town papers... what multiple to ebitda will the market support? The multiple may provide a comparison you find useful. I am a data hog. You may find the info worthless.
