I finally threw in the towel today. Seems like ATVI is the best house in a bad neighborhood. After the earnings report, I expected more. Instead, ATVI had been down to sideways in an up market. The economic headwinds here are too strong.
Good luck to the longs.
Getting out at $11.11 didn't look like a good decision yesterday, but looks like a better one today. And yes, I made money to the long side, just not as much as I thought I would.
If the stock drifts south to the $9.90-10.00 range, I will get interested again. It's just that we didn't see the run up to the $12.75-13.00 range like we have in the past, which suggests to me that the stock is not going way down (as the shorts would have you believe), nor going way up, but rather going to trade sideways in a range.
We will see.
Great point. All I hear is "$9 next week" or "this company sucks" or "down on an up day".
Spino is absolutely correct stating that these idiots deserve the treatment they get. If you have legit criticism, fine. Otherwise, why post nonsense?
While it's true that analysis of data or news commentary is actually useful, unlike simply disclosing sentiment, I personally have no objection to simply chatting.
Let's say I log-in to a forum about the Oscars. Do I have to provide analysis of what should win, or can't I just say I'm rooting for The Hurt Locker and be done with it?
I think you missed my entire point...
It's like if I wrote a post stating that I just bought 5000 shares because I am bullish about the stock. So, what is the point of that post. Unfortunately, there are no so called restrictions on posting so therefore we get spammed with trolls posting retarded nonsense.
People may question your move but that is their perogative and it is yours for selling. If you don't want to hear people bashing you then just refrain from posting without some solid news or analysis that supports your position. That's all I'm saying.
"It wasn't smart to sell before dividends. period"
Ah, so now you're not accusing him of lying, you're saying he made a bad move. Make up your mind.
And while I do not hope for nor expect the price to drop 15 cents tomorrow, it very well could, as often happens on ex-dates. If it didn't we would all be dividend chasers.
