    CYCC wins in court

    Ex-Cyclacel employee’s case dropped

    By GRANT SMITH, 2 February 2013 9.00am.
A former employee of Dundee pharmaceutical company Cyclacel has had her damages claim thrown out by the Court of Session.

Amanda Sutherland Chinn (39) was a research assistant.

She said repetitive and strenuous use of pipettes left her with problems in
her hands and arms.

Her first action against the company was rejected in 2007 but she brought a fresh case with revised medical evidence.

Lord Woolman has now ruled Cyclacel would
suffer prejudice if the case
continued.

He said: “In the original action, their costs totalled £43,300, which were
irrecoverable.

“There are also the expenses of the current action. To date they have been significant.

“If the action is allowed to proceed, the defenders will face further expense in fighting what are essentially the same allegations.”

Cyclacel, which was founded by renowned
cancer expert Professor Sir David Lane, is currently working on drugs for cancer and leukaemia.

LOL ok next win in court will be more of a catalyst

    • As usual, I thank you, Mastino. Yes, CYCC is our Cancer and Leukemia drug pharmaceutical for now and Sir David Lane is working with his team on the research to apply those drugs which will soon prove CYCC's research to be most reliable and valid. Hopefully, soon to market. GLTALs.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Very good Mastino. We needed a chuckle this morning. CELG has pockets as deep as the ocean compared to this lab assistant. I agree, if CYCC wins, back up the trucks to take on money. I see some more preferred are being exchanged. I'm smelling something like a buy-out or really big news that is going to move us WAY UP! Good luck.
