If you have YONG shares in multiple accounts.....

I'm with eTrade. Typically I get email notifications with my control numbers to log onto proxyvote and cast my votes. This is how it worked with November's YONG vote as well.

However, I just found in my mail a hard copy of the proxy and my voting form which is really strange that they came via snail mail and not emailed given my account settings. The number of shares is correct and matches up with what I expected including the calls I exercised last week, which is good.

The other strange thing is that I only received the materials for my taxable brokerage account and not for my roth IRA (I own YONG shares in both accounts). It's possible that they were both mailed last week and the USPS is just a little faster on delivering one than the other. Last November I got two separate emails with two control numbers for so that I had to separately vote the YONG shares in my two accounts. Unfortunately with today being a holiday, so I can't call eTrade until tomorrow.

I'm going to hold off on casting my votes until I get both control numbers (eTrade can usually connect you to someone that can provide them over the phone if you call so I should have everything tomorrow).

Moral of the story is if you have YONG shares in more than one account, even if they are with the same company, make sure you confirm that you have all of the control numbers to vote all of your shares.

    • Fidelity will not let you vote YONG via E delivery. Also in margin account you can't vote all your shares I learned to my dissapointment

    • I have exactly the same situation and found it very interesting that they decided to go the snail mail way, not sure if it is good of bad for the NO vote, the last Board election was done electronically for me at least as all my previous votes. I received my package from UPS on my door step, if I had been away for a few days it could have stayed there exposed to the weather and it could have been pretty bad. Like you, still missing my IRA vote, just my regular account vote arrived. If for any reason I was not able to vote it would be considered as a NO vote so I am not too worry, in fact if the process of delivering the proxy is messed up, it could help the NO vote but let's not yet jumped to conclusions as the physical delivery could also provide an incentive for people who usually do not vote when they get the electronic proxy to vote and perhaps to vote following the Board's recommendation, i.e. YES. Now less than a month to wait and see what the outcome will be....
