Bunch of longtards talking about buying and holding and buying at any price...
This is who you guys remind me of:
In a Grandpa Simpson voice:
"I want my dividends...FROOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Don't listen to that tripe. Every board has immature people who do not contribute anything but vitriol and bile.
I bought 2,000 shares of FRO in January of 2005. Cost: $44.36. Since then, I have seen the stock drop as low as $31.00 and the dividend vary a great deal.
However, holding tight, I have earned (in cash), $83,398. That represents a monthly income of $1,853.29. Could you use 1800 bucks per month extra income? I think everyone could.
I am about to increase my position. It is time.
Get in and hold on. It will be a wild ride.
Dividends rock. Go Fro-Dogs.
I agree. If someone will point to a better divie-paying stock I'll certainly take a look at it. I'll keep FRO and add that one and any others to my portfolio.
I have several I'm watching right now. The PPSs have reached 52-week, and in some cases, 3-5 year lows, and the companies have strong financial sheets. Getting ready to jump into several really soon.
There is way to much BS on this stock FRO. I have owned it for 4 years, 4,000 shares and road it from below 30 to my recent sell above 62. Buying them back at 55. The anaylist are way off on this beauty. It has paid big dividends over $13 a year at one time since inception. The owners are the wealthiest family in Holland who took them public but retain control. They pay out almost all the profits in dividends, always have, because that gives them a big tax break in Holland. Dividends follow the profit picture. They also spun of SFL a shipping finance bank a couple of years ago and it also funds there ships exclusively and pays all its profits out as dividends; another high % dividend payer. I just take the dividends, great payoffs. It has only been in recent times the price has gone up over 50. Guess folks are catching on about the high dividends. Analyist have never seemed to figure them out. Yet I discovered there dividend intentions on-line over 4 years ago on there web site.
"The owners are the wealthiest family in Holland"
are we talking about the same company????? 34% of FRO is owned by Hemen = John Fredriksen born in Norway......not even close to Holland (if your European at least)
anyway, too much BS is going on here today, no need to be around
you should have sold your shares for 70. i'll be happy to buy back the shares that i sold up there much cheaper. stupid longtards.
i'll accumulate shares for anything less than 50.
I Just want to Thank the Shorty's Like Foo-Foo-Foo and Radmonk for making me More Money by being Short this srock. It seems you losers are good for me. Thanks I can always use more money. Keep Up the Good Work I like a Good Laugh. LOL
Personally, I just want to thank radmonk for not linking to a "hot stock" site. Those are the worst. Usually I can tell from the title, but sometimees I waste time opening something I think is fro related.
y u got to be such a dirt bag? u got a problem with people being long on a stock that yields 15%? if u don't like the stock, find one that u do like. if you have something constructive to add then write it and have an intelligent discussion, but posting insults to people who are long the stock! WTF?
u really think it "yeilds" 15%... dont u EVER worry why the stock is "yeilding" 15%??
(a) Quite a bit of the "dividend" is distribution.. or return of capital from liquidating assets.
(b) Next year company will make $3.58 in EPS.. so where will the 15% dividend come from??
(c) Book value is BARELY $6.00... so why pay $65 in PREMIUM over book to catch "dividend"??
(d) Company's shareholder equity has been going DOWN for each of the past 4 years.. check out the balance sheet.
(e) FRO stock was at ONLY $35 just a few weeks ago.
ABOVE all... CRAMER is PUMPING this stock... ALL his pumped stock go DOWN more than 50% within 6 months...
