OT BS Truth on German power

I had read all the overblown claims of Germany's solar power.

This article explains what is really happening.

    Best of luck,

    • Hello Mr. Shores.

I've been having an ongoing debate with an enviro-fascist friend who has repeatedly used German efforts at renewable energy as the "model" other nations should follow.

He was... shocked, or at least unhappy... to see statistics that document the fact that, even WITH the push to install substantial amounts of solar, and even with electric rates that are 2x higher than other EU countries, 45% - 50% of electricity consumed by Germans was generated by **coal**. And he was... annoyed... to learn that Germany is **adding** several new coal-fired power plants.

I observed that, Germany has few options to using coal for non-intermittent generation since:

      a) they have decided to shut off their nukes
      b) don't want to be wholly reliant on Russian gas via Ukraine to fire base-load power plants

As Kermit the frog (and Frank Sinatra) said so tunefully:

      "It ain't easy being green."

      • I am sure you are not referring to me.If you are, you are lying.
I have said over and over oil and coal will be with us for years to come.Their importance will be less and less as time goes by.The future is not coal or oil.The future is GREEN.
You cave men need to get that through your overly thick skulls.
BS,live in a drug infested state. One of the highest rates of drug addiction in the country.I wonder if that has anything to do with his crazy posts.

    • BS,people need to Google Solar power and they will know the real truth.
