Wal*Mart has required that all employees who have to work Christmas Eve stay until 8:30 PM. This is later than last year. Many I talked to are not happy about it. They would like to be home earlier with their families.
Part of retail life.
WMT is simply anticipating consumer expectations and creating a solution to meet the consumer need.
That is what successful companies do.
As cost conscientious as WMT is, if they were not expecting revenue during those hours, they would not incur the expense.
This includes all D.C.'s and any other WMT facility. All workers are off on Christmas Day and bussiness hours will resume Saturday morning.
I suggest if you don't know what you're talking about to keep your union pimp mouth shut.
so are SEARS , TARGET , COSTCO , K-MART , SAFEWAY , KROGERS , etc !! People are hurting as well as their companies !! Its a "rat race" for profits and employees to earn monies ! Sad ! but true !!
However I am happy to say that most of the employees will take a hour or so out of their hectic lives and volunteer to help others !!
But !! You sorry selves wont because its all about nothing !!
I am still praying for all of you !!
Get a life. YOUR IN RETAIL. You make one half of your business in the last 90 days of the year moving toward Christmas eve. Kroger will be in the stores till 8 pm and they are Union.
Walmart and the team understand what Christmas Eve is about and apparently you dont.
