    If Retail makes NOTHING....

    How can America move forward.....

If Governments only make MORE DEBT....

How can the turnips in D. C. keep a straight face.....

and to the @ssholes that don't support Arizona's illegal immigration law....

you better be damn happy Ike ain't president now....

The only way America is gonna get out of this mess is to...

    make stuff...

that's the reason this company supports China....

    on Wal*Mart's China web page!

"Wal-Mart China persists in local procurement which provides more job opportunities, supports local manufacture industry and promotes local economy. So far, 95% of merchandising sold at Wal-Mart China store are local products by which Wal-Mart has established business relations with nearly 20,000 suppliers. At Wal-Mart, we treat suppliers as partners and would like to develop with them. In 2008 Wal-Mart won the Supplier Satisfaction published by Business Information of Shanghai for five consecutive years."

Look at where America would be today if 95% of everything sold in American was made in America....

The more US dollars in foreigners hands....

    the weaker the American people......

"Now let us look at Wal-Mart again; you buy a product there, 6% goes to the employees, 10-18% is profit to the company, 25% goes to other costs and 50% goes to re-stock or the cost of goods sold. Of the 50% about 20-25% goes to China, a guess, but you get the point. Now then, how long will it take at 433 Billion dollars at year for China to have all of our money, leaving no money flow for us to circulate? At a 17 Trillion dollar economy less than 40-years minus the 1/6 they buy from us. Some say that if we keep putting money into our economy, it would take forever, but if we do not then eventually all the money flow will go. If China buys our debt then eventually they own us, no need to worry about a war, they are buying America, due in part to our own mismanaged trade, so whose fault is that? Not necessarily China, as they are doing what's in the best interests, and we should make sure that trade is not only free, but fair too."

    Even Khrushchev knew that...

“You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism out right, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you fall like over-ripe fruit into our hands.”

    • and again, since the facts are not on your side, you result to smear tactics.

Who got their feelings hurt the most, you or doree ?

    • Once again bda, you make statements which are meaningless. You failed to present any new or compelling and persuasive information.

You continue to expose the depth of your ignornace and your inability to craft a meaningful argument.

That is why unions are in decline and struggling to attract new members. You just don't know how to engage people in a constructive and positive fashion.

Kind of sucks for you don't it ?

    • Why should any retailer be obligated to use the corrupted labor services of Teamsters at any port of call when alternatives are just a few miles away ?

Just a few years ago the California dockworkers went on strike and left cargo ships sitting in the water with days of delays....were you one of those fools ?

You got what you deserved in the risk benefit analysis. You risked future work for current wages. You risked future work for immediate greed.....and like so many other unionite bashers, you miscalculated, misunderstood the port services market, and ignored the economic realities staring you in the face.

      What goes around comes around.

      Its called karma baby.

      You played hardball and lost.

You tried threats and intimidation and sacrificed your customer's business efficiencies and what did it get you in the long run ???

    • clueless specializes in wasting space, including the space she occupies.

    • Once again you demonstrate your complete business and financial ignorance.

Making something is not the sole factor of determining worth, value, or economic gain.

Economic gains is derived by adding value to the process of converting raw materials into finished goods leading to purchase.

Retailers create a cost effective mechanism for manufacturers to present finished goods to consumers willing to purchase.

If not for gasoline retailers, how would you get gas for your vehicle ?

If not for food retailers, how would you eat ?

If not for lumber stores, how would your home be built ?

Think of the thousands of items available for purchase at a single retailers....

and you still don't understand how retailing adds value do you ?

No wonder you rely on a union for your economic well being. You just don't understand how real world business and finance functions....but hey, readers already new that didn't they. Your ignorance has been exposed numerous times on this forum.
