A couple years ago I was shopping at Wal-Mart and found some wash clothes they had on clearance at a pretty good price.I decided to buy six of them but went to the price check scanner to make sure. The price rang up at the original price. It made me mad. I just left my cart with the items I was going to buy sitting by the scanner and walked out and went to Target for my items. I still shop at Wal-Mart occasionaly but not very often because I started finding better prices at other places. Yesterday I was in Wal-Mart and was looking at their wash cloths again. I found some I liked for 1.97. Remembering what happened two years ago I decided to price check them. The regular price on them was 1.97 but the price scanner showed 2.97. I thought this is to much of a coincidence that it would happen twice on wash cloths. I went back and got a different brand and different price wash cloth to see how it would ring up. It too scanned at a higher price then the shelf price. It looks like they have determined that this is an area that people do not notice overpricing and can get away with it. I am so mad. Thats stealing from customers. I am going back today and check more items from the same department. If I find more products that are overpriced I am going to go to the proper authorities with my findings and ask them to investigate. I just wanted to stop by this board and warm people about the cheating I am finding.
Nothing new. Also check out how they were cheating people who returned gifts who had a gift receipt but would not refund the price paid that the receipt showed. If you ever enter a Walmart, I would suggest holding onto your wallet with both hands and know what the price of the product or products you're buying before going to the register.
