Poll: Huge Majority Says GOP Doesn’t Care About Their Needs And Problems
Nearly 60 percent of Americans say the Republican Party has a problem when it comes to compassion and empathy, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The latest survey from Quinnipiac University found that 59 percent of American voters think the GOP doesn't care about the needs and problems of people like them. Only 37 percent said the party does. The poll provided more evidence of the party's inability connecting with minority voters. Sixty-one percent of Hispanic voters and 78 percent of black voters said that Republicans do not care about their needs and problems.
Democrats scored much better on the question. Fifty-three percent of voters overall — including 65 percent of Hispanic voters and 82 percent of black voters — said the Democratic Party cares about their needs and problems.
The GOP is totally insensitive to the chronic high unemployment problem resulting from years of economic neglect during the Bush years. They play the blame game to perfection - even daring to blame President Obama for airline slowdowns last week, when the problem would not have existed if the Republicans had acted responsibly earlier.
