    Walmart's real depreciation looks to be greatly overstated

    Walmart US and International spent 6.5 billion in capex for new store construction last fiscal year. Back that out from total capex spend of $13 billion and you have a rough estimate of maintenance capex spend of $6.5 billion, really somewhat lower as it doesn't include sam's club, etc. Thats a full $2 billion below depreciation of $8.5 billion so walmart's earnings seem to be somewhat understated.
