The rise in recent months of INFN's stock price should not only be viewed as an effect, but also a potential driver, of their business prospects.
The stock has gone up because of the increasing view that they have the winning technology for optical data transmission.
But now the rise in stock price is objective evidence of the perceived superiority of INFN's technology. Ciena has not had a similar rise in stock price.
My point is that the rise in the stock price could very well be yet another catalyst that convinces prospective customers that INFN is the the company to go with.
Yup. And, telco employees invest in stocks too ya know....VZ executives putting hidden trust cash to work of late? Nah! That stuff doesn't happen!
