Genetically Targeted Beta-Blocker for AF? Wow. How did I miss ABIO!
What was the therapeutic they were promising years ago? Like I said, if bucindolol hydrochloride has the ability to prevent AF in targeted patients, then this company is sitting on something special. Do you have any idea how many seniors are cardioverted only to have AF return? Or receive and ablation that doesn't work? Beta-blockers are great adjunct therapy, but if ABIO can deliver one that truly prevents AF in certain patients, then this really is a one of a kind therapeutic.
There is no way a large pharmaceutical will let this come to market, ABIO will most certainly be purchased. The risk to traditional cash cows like Metprolol ER would be to great.
