Chart looks very negative and 2 sources I check said "sell" so I dumped the whole lot at a big loss but prevented what I think might well have grown to an even worse loss. Good riddance! Learned a big lesson here. GLTA.
Well, I don't know who or what your "sources" are but I suggest you dump them into the garbage can. I tried to tell you where you went wrong and many others on here gave you good avdise about how to dig yourself out of the hole YOU dug for yourself. I've been accumulating this CEF since Aug 2011 it is presently my biggest holding and I haven't sold a single share, in fact I was a buyer yesterday. I probably bought the shares that you dumped, thank you. Anyway, sorry you took a hit but at least we wont have to listen to you whining anymore.
Good luck, you're gonna need it.
Only #$%$ sell this thing-what are you worried about the fiscal cliff and dividends going up- this thing yields 1%+ PER MONTH-where are you going to get that-you should be piling into this BECAUSE rates are going up and your 2% dividend paying stocks will not do anything for you. It is amazing how many STUPID people invest in the markets and have no idea what they are doing. I make money off of that stupidity so thank you for your shares.
