I thinks it's more like WHO is driving up the stock? It's the same idiots who really believe in this company. ITT had its day a long time ago and it's on a decline. Movement has been withing the range of 60 - 65 for over a year now and the same people are selling and buying.
We ALL know WHO is driving the stock up. There are a few funds that invest in speculative companies like ITT...shame on you. ITT's hayday was, as you mentioned it, a long time ago...shortly before going public...ah those days were refreshing and mutually beneficial...nowadays it's all about what can YOU(the rep, financial aid rep, instructor, associate dean, dean, etc...) and do for US(ESI). The range is artifial at best and misinterpreted at the least. Here's an interesting bit of news...let's do a liquidation analysis and see what the inadequate buildings, outdated equipment, cheesy shrubery, and mountain of expenses are worth...you'd be suprised to know that HQ has already done the analysis and the answer is frightening...to investors.
