      >>Let's just end this nonsensical blather. I wish no harm to either of them or to you. Instead- GLTYA<<

      Good idea. Thanks. GLTYA, too.

      >>PS- My LONG TERM sentiment here for AKAM remains STRONG BUY. What I do short term is strictly based on ST valuations.<<

In the immortal words of Cliff the mailman, Taking profits before anticipated dips is good!

PS- My LONG TERM sentiment here for AKAM remains STRONG BUY. What I do short term is strictly based on ST valuations.

      >>Personally I am not concerned with anyone's track record except my own. <<

Is that your rationale for not answering my questions?

When you said to me, in your previous post, "You make accusations about so many people here without looking at yourself" I asked you if you cared to name those many people here.

When you said to me, in the same post, "Most people have you on ignore and for good reason and I should do the same" I asked you to name them.

But you answered neither question, you named no one. If your questions were hyperbole, that would explain why you can't answer them.

In that same post, you groused about vnwkmar2003 and I showed you that you did the same thing to sarap102 that you insisted vnwkmar2003 did to you.

Now, BYPASSING my replies to your questions, you tell me "Personally I am not concerned with anyone's track record except my own." I don't wonder why you didn't answer my questions about my "track record," but your concern about vnwkmar2003's "track record" persists. Because now, in your current post to me, you repeat:

      >>My question to you is this- should I be verbally attacked . . . .<<

Let me answer your question with these facts:

      1. Vnwkmar2003 replied to your post to me in which you levied your accusation against him. He explained to you that his comment "was meant to be general and not aimed at anyone." If you'd like to reread his complete reply, it's here:

      %29/Stocks_A/threadview?m=tm&bn=700&tid=
      211151&mid=211515

      2. You replied to vnwkmar2003's post, explaining your position, and then WISHED HIM GOOD LUCK.

If you'd like to refresh your memory, you'll find your reply right under his in this thread.

Now, AFTER vnwkmar2003 explained and you amiably wished him good luck, you CONTINUE with your grudge against him!

I'm not going to ask you why it's so important to you that I change my mind and join you in your grudge because I learned from your non-answers to my previous questions that you won't answer.

      >>So you go ahead be my guest and believe what you want. You can post all the wonderful stuff you want about AKAM but until valuation comes back, it will be spinning its wheels at this level and just below ($25-$26) for some time to come. I will buy back that 40% position when it reaches that aforementioned level. Until then, I'll accumulate more of my high return spec stock...<<

Okay. I'm watching both those stocks right now. Since their respective 5-day chart action looks strikingly similar, I attribute their action to either the sector or the market, not to either stock individually.

    • Personally I am not concerned with anyone's track record except my own.

My question to you is this- should I be verbally attacked for selling at what I consider a high (overvalued) and locking in significant profits? I'm sure AKAM will make nice steady gains in the long term (that is why I only sold a percentage of my position and hold the remainder), but right now its about maximization of profit and I'm glad I took profit when I did. Those who did not sell, will most likely be holding the bag for months to come and will be saying "I should have sold then..."

So you go ahead be my guest and believe what you want. You can post all the wonderful stuff you want about AKAM but until valuation comes back, it will be spinning its wheels at this level and just below ($25-$26) for some time to come. I will buy back that 40% position when it reaches that aforementioned level. Until then, I'll accumulate more of my high return spec stock...

      >>well said ...101 and my neighbor is not idiot either he is old thoght<<

Thanks, sarap, and thanks for the good word about your neighbor. Apparently (s)he recognizes an outstanding investment.

      >>Actually, I would have said his memory was failing him if he had not instigated. Indeed, his comment directed at me was an attack because I said I sold a portion of my holdings and obviously one is only "accepted" here if you buy and buy and never sell...<<

If you believe that "one is only 'accepted' here if you buy and buy and never sell," you have overlooked MANY posts here.

Let's look at the history of your feud. Sarap102, whose posts often contain droll humor, began this thread by posting:

      >>My neighbor says
that AKAM will be at high $50's by the end of summer<<

That is either classic deadpan humor or he was merely passing along his neighbor's opinion. But because you did not perceive it as either, you responded with:

      >>Based on what? Voodoo? Do some real analysis before you post. Idiot.<<

Because you are a relative stranger here who apparently had not read previous posts by sarap102, you misunderstood (what I believe was) his likely intent. Even if he was not employing his typical brand of humor, the only thing he said was what his NEIGHBOR said. Did he say that he agreed with his neighbor? No, but you admonished him to "do some real analysis" and then called him an idiot.

Then along came vnwkmar2003 who apparently had not read previous posts by you, just as you apparently had not read previous posts by sarap102. And vnwkmar said something I'm CERTAIN he would not have said to you if he'd read your previous related posts. And he said it in the "My neighbor says" thread, not in reply to your post about selling some AKAM, so it appears he was replying to your 'voodoo' comment, which could have generated his train of thought, or it could have reminded him about your post in which you said you sold some of your AKAM. The point is, because you seemed to have not read sarap's previous posts, you misunderstood his 'neighbor' post . . . and because vnwkmar apparently had not read your previous posts, he misunderstood your post (IF he was referring to it). Who has time to read every post? Apparently you don't and apparently vnwkmar doesn't.

      >>My question to you is, why are you the one defending him? <<

Why shouldn't I defend him? In all the years vnwkmar2003 has posted here, I have never known him to be other than an investor sincerely interested in, and well informed about, and quick to defend, Akamai.

      >>. . . You make accusations about so many people here without looking at yourself. <<

Care to name those many people here?

      >>I'm not sure if anyone besides your other dozen aliases even reply to your nonsensical posts anymore. <<

      LOL You just did.

And once again you are mistaken. I have way more than a dozen aliases. Sometimes I run into myself here.

      >>. . . Most people have you on ignore and for good reason and I should do the same. <<

      Their names are . . . ?

      >>I think "Z" was right- you DO belong in a mental institution!<<

That doesn't sound at all like what you said about 'Z' and what you said about me on the LLNW board.

Anyway, I enjoy hyperbole, so hyperbole at me any time. :-)

    • I posted my entry in AKAM months ago. I was just turning bullish on AKAM at that time. As AKAM approached full valuation, I decided to take some profit and hold the remainder for the longer term gains. I also posted my sales. I suggest you go back and read both my entry and exit in AKAM. Because the valuation has come to the highest levels since 2008, I am trading on an as is basis on the ST and hold for the LT. GL

    • Wow just-lite that is being real defensive.

Yes I wonder when people come after the fact and tell you they sold. Why not say the same when they buy. Btw that comment was meant to be general and not aimed at anyone.

    • Actually, I would have said his memory was failing him if he had not instigated. Indeed, his comment directed at me was an attack because I said I sold a portion of my holdings and obviously one is only "accepted" here if you buy and buy and never sell...

My question to you is, why are you the one defending him? What did I say that is considered "blackballing him"? LOL! Are you his other half or is he just your other alias? You make accusations about so many people here without looking at yourself. I'm not sure if anyone besides your other dozen aliases even reply to your nonsensical posts anymore. You fill this board with all sorts of off-topic political BS and unrelated BS. Most people have you on ignore and for good reason and I should do the same. I think "Z" was right- you DO belong in a mental institution!
