    To all you MIA

J_edgar-groover, Richard, tjh930066, bulwerlytton, atrue42long, everyone . . . how did you guys LOSE your way HOME?!!

I won't explain here because Yahoo blocked my prior attempt to post to you. So, for now, please do this . . . google for this text string and make sure you include the quote marks:

"Wow! Akamai Technologies is not looking good"

After you click on (and open) the post at the top of Google's search page, look ABOVE that post, and click on the words 'View all Messages'.

Please try it as soon as you read this. I'm anxious to know you will succeed!

    • Hey Blondie. Thought I'd try answering here just to see if I can. This is the first post on the board even though it says 1 day and 1 hour old. If I don't pick the right combo of 'view . . . as' the posts don't even fit in the viewing area.

To others, try the Investor Village AKAM board. You can get a free subscription if you ask for it, $47 per year if you're willing to pay. It's very similar to the old board.

      • Maybe I figured it out? Maybe . . . in addition to not allowing links . . . this grandly improved Yahoo message board system also does not allow angle brackets to indicate quoting? Alright, I will try again and substitute an equal sign (=) for each angle bracket.

Hi PE. I see your post is at the top of the list, meaning it's the most recent, but it says you posted it 46 minutes ago. Oh, I see where you're looking and seeing mine is 1 day and 1 hour old. That's the 'message list' one sees after clicking on 'Message Boards' in ¥'s list of various places linked to AKAM's financial data. After you get 'inside' you then click on your choice of view. I always choose 'List: Messages' and View: Expanded'.

I just woke up a short while ago. After finding you had reached IV's shore and replying to your post there, and myself feeling like an emigrant from the likes of Cuba (from which I had to swim to reach the new land), I fell instantly asleep from exhaustion due to the stress. Even when I woke up, my head felt like it was splitting. Some water and a few chocolate chips later, my head has stopped hurting. After I post here for a bit, I'll return to IV and reply to your posts there.

PE is understating it. Investor Village is almost identical to Yahoo's message boards as they were BEFORE Yahoo changed to its 'beta' boards a few years ago.

        1. Remember what the Yahoo boards were like when Yahoo stamped the actual TIME on each post instead of "X minutes X seconds ago"?

        2. Remember what the Yahoo boards were like when Yahoo stated FROM whom each post derived? You knew in an instant WHO was replying to WHOM. You did not need to go slogging through a long thread of posts to find out whether Poster A was talking to you or to someone else. You always knew who was insulting whom. LOL

Investor Village has PRESERVED that old Yahoo board's wonderful format.

And it's only IV's 'premium' service that has a fee attached. If all you want is basic (which is all I've ever used there) it is free. As Ameritrade's Stuart explained to Mr. B, 'free' means 'no charge'. :-)

If you don't know the way to IV, google for it. Yahoo forbids me to let you know the link.

      • This @#$% Yaaaaahoooooooooooooooo deleted my reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • I don't know why, but I have to click several times before the reply box appears. And it is just as slow as it was the last two times I tried to write in it. It is a NIGHTMARE. Now to paste what I wrote in Word . . .

    • I tried what you suggested, but got an error message (several times)...what is supposed to happen ?

      • ==I'm here. With the new court ruling, all the multi step Akamai patents are now safer from others trying to set up a cloud and network coping Akamai.

If you will remember I tried to describe what Akamai was doing was building an Atmosphere in which all the clouds floated safely and securely. With this ruling this is much more likely to become a reality.==

Yes, I remember that. It puzzled me at the time because I understood you literally instead of figuratively.

Tjh, please move to InvestorVillage where you will find the OLD Yahoo board's format that is such a breeze to use! Don't you think a BREEZE is most appropriate with Akamai's clouds? :-)

      • ==I tried what you suggested, but got an error message (several times)...what is supposed to happen ?==

Hi J Edgar. Unfortunately, nothing could happen for you because you tried too late. Not your fault. The day that the en banc decision was announced is when PE discovered all you guys were posting at Yahoo's new board and you were unaware the old board still existed. So I went to the new board and posted to all y'all that the old board still was up and running like it had been . . . but Yahoo determined you should not receive that information and deleted my post.

Actually, Yahoo made it invisible. I could see it when I pasted the Permalink in the address bar, but that post NEVER appeared in the post list, so none of you were able to read it.

PE and I wanted you to know the old board was still active so you could come back and we could all communicate with each other, but Yahoo did ot want you to know that.

And by the time it occurred to me to use Google to get you to the old board, it was too late because sometime last night Yahoo destructed the old board. That is why you couldn't see what you were supposed to see (the OLD board) by following that Google trail.

Please, please, please give InvestorVillage (all one compound word) a chance. You will think you are back at the Yahoo board when it was its best ever! You'll need to google for it and then register, but it will be worth it because we'll all be able to communicate EASILY.

To me, Yahoo's new board is a nightmare. I have to click and click and click in order to get the Reply box to open, and then that thing clogs my computer's memory and I can barely type in it. You should see how long the wheel spins when I try to clear the browser's cache! A day or two ago I had to reboot my computer in order to repossess its memory!!

What you are reading now, I am writing in a Microsoft Word file to transfer to Yahoo's reply/compose box so I won't have to wait long minutes for a few words to appear.

Not only is replying difficult on this board, Yahoo has deleted MANY of my attempts to reply to numerous posts. Trying again and again to get past Yahoo's censors is a HUGE waste of valuable time.

Again, you and tjh and Richard and atrue42long and all the rest of you . . . PLEASE come to InvestorVillage and try it!

Go ahead and laughter at the stupidity Dan
