Huge selloffs even in IRA accounts
Its bad enough that retirement programs and funds have lost over 50% but the worst part is that many have been forced to sell out of those funds just to make ends meet. Mass liquidation is also taking its toll on markets as ivestors and people are cashing in to pay their bills.Those who are forced into retirememtn or have been recently laid off cannot afford to live off unemployment insurance and thus pay the penalty of early withdrawal. I guess its better than getting nothing.
