The current FDA and its advisory committees seem to favor big pharma, imho. A recent study published in "Science" deals with conflicts of interest, but that is only part of the story. Diana Zuckerman, president of the National Research Center for Women & Families, extends the arguments to conclude that FDA decisions are not based on the facts.
I agree twelve. Also, let us not forget that I believe one of Medtronics current or former board members was on the BMTI advisory panel and he voted no! Not only are they in bed with big pharma but they seem to not be approving "Red State" companies like BMTI/WMGI (from my observation) whereas blue state companies most likely are approved at a faster and greater rate (aka IRS scandal, EPA, other government agencies with bias).. The whole government is a sham and will collapse under its own weight in the next year or two.
Two recent examples of heavy-handed FDA action was the hold placed on the trial of PSTI due to one out of 74 patients having a brief overnight hospital stay, and the demand for an additional major safety test of the DVAX Hep. B vaccine.
