(by disbelief in gold, I mean the dismal performance of the shares)
But more disbelief in GSS, more than at any time, probably including 2008. Pretty amazing considering GSS has a track record of solving problems. Sure, management shoots itself in the feet from time to time, but those are all limited problems, ending almost assuredly near the the end of this year.
Cash flow will simply be amazing in 2012. Not too bad this year either, but when the ducks are in a row, phenomenal cash flow.
There is a lack of interest in ALL gold miners today except ego.Nem is RED.The trend hasn't changed. Why buy the miners when you can buy the"physical"("the real deal")by simply buying an etf.Until pog gets too expensive, etf leasing scandal scare comes out,or/and the funds, mania, sector rotation into gold causes excitement, the miners will do nothing with occasional exceptions like ego today. The best thing that could happen is an etf (lack of bullion backup scare) which would cause an acute rotation.
While I do believe it's possible for gss to turn around I really think that an individual would be better off getting out of this one and getting in a better company...If they have a good track record at solving problems, they also have a stellar track record of having problems...Something doesn't seem right...And the shares are awfully diluted...However, with gold really moving it may just drag the shares up with it...But the last thing you want is to miss the bull market in gold by sitting in a stock that is moving down while the product the company produces is going up in value...I had an oil stock like that..Did nothing but go down the entire time oil went from 10/barrel to over 100/barrel...

Funny, I had an oil company that the scammers pushed down to the low 2's, and as soon as I sold to buy gold stocks, it took off to upper 30's. My guess is at some point the scamsters will ride the miners up, but not before discouraging retail investors. It's when retail is enamored of the miners that I'd be selling and careful. GSS continues to be a value play. They are so close to getting things right on the ground, and they have basically zero chance of further dilution. I don't see how you can say they are diluted in truth. Very few explorer/juniors actually make it to where we are without selling out, so in many ways they have pulled off quite the feat. Perhaps this is why the banksters hold back GSS, because they didn't cave in the IAG deal (there were rumors to this effect a long while back).
Regardless the conspiracy theories, though, GSS should be cleaning up soon. Maybe they should do an NEM and promise dividends from profits beyond a certain point. This would kill the naked shorts, as they would have to pay out dividends. If the banksters and call writers run GSS, this will never happen. I hope that is not the case here.

Yeah, IAG had better buy them before that happens. :)
(I've just always thought that would be a funny payback for the fiasco buyout that GSS attempted 7-8 years ago.)
GSS is doing better today % wise then most other Gold stocks…but with Gold running up the way it has…I am very puzzled..
I have read many articles that the hedge Funds are long the metals and short the stocks.
It sure seems to feel that way

Goldy, it's been that way since we both started here over ten years ago. The reality is, however, that the longer this game goes on, the more mispriced the miners become. Something has to give soon, and although gold will certainly have its dips, it is not going to crash like 1980. I continue to believe we exceed $6000/oz. Are they going to keep GSS at $3/share that whole time????? I don't think even TM could hurt us that bad. At some point, it just becomes impossible to sit on and smother GSS.
I think we must be near that point, but who knows.
