    Whisper Number

The term "secular" means "long term"; it's used
in economics. I use the term secular to distinguish
the big market trends like the 1982-1999 secular bull
market from the "ordinary bull markets" like 1982-1987
that are embedded within the longer trend.

don't know of a book that describes the concept
explicitly. If this bull market ends when the model says its
supposed to (big if there) perhaps I'll write one :)
