    How's your year going?

    Here's mine....

Total portfolio. + 20.76% YTD (includes dividends)
    Avnr .... + 76.7% YTD
    Dow .... + 15.45 YTD

Given my dividend strategy I think I stand a GOOD chance of hitting 27% on the year.

    Definitely... A banner year.

    Warren would be proud. :)

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • You couldn't hold a candle to Warren, Ive seen some of your picks go BK, my guess your in the minus pool

    • It seemed like even though the stock market was doing well, that my portfolio wasn't doing all that well until about 2 1/2 months ago, around the time I got back into AVNR. All of a sudden it is on a good upward roll and about time. My portfolio has gained about 33% since the beginning of May. I am not sure how much of that is due to Avanir, but probably a lot. It is one of my 2 largest holdings. The other large one suddenly took off about the same time as Avanir and my smaller holdings are doing okay, also.. I had bought a bunch of options, when I first entered the market about 2 1/2 years ago and I lost a lot of money. Now I rarely hold options and if I do, i hold very few. I do have a few options in my other large holding and they are going up through the roof. I sold some of them already at a nice profit and I will probably sell the rest of the options, before that stock starts trending downward again. Except for that I only own stock. It seems a lot safer. My Roth account, where I can't hold options is in very good shape. I have long since recouped my losses and it is making money for me, but I am still patiently waiting for my regular account to gain back all of the money that I lost on options. Learning from my mistakes and recouping my losses seems to me to make a lot more sense than whining about it and blaming others like some posters do. I have a very good feeling about AVNR, looking at the entire picture. I believe it's time is coming some time in the near future. My other large holding may take a little longer, although that stock has also been going up quite a bit lately. I just know that things aren't quite ready to come together in a really big way for that one yet, and the technicals are giving me the same picture. On the other hand both the technicals and other factors point to things coming together much sooner for AVNR. Of course with the stock market you never know. Anything can happen.
