Are you talking about pdlcf? I didn't see any
quotes for today. Did they change the name or suspend
trading?..no news found? I wonder which is really the better
value, SWC or PDLCF? SWC is so heavily owned by
insitutions. Maybe I should ahve dumped both to buy more AVN
which was only top vol leader on amex today in black.
Up 50% in past few sessions.
I've been following/owning pdl for some time.
Never much msg board traffic get a real feel for it.
Maybe it's being sold to raise cash for margin calls?
Anyway, I think it's way oversold. They're in the catbird
seat. Open pit, less production cost per ton, expansion
well under way. PGMs rising...
PDL is drifting down and down. They will be
starting the new capacity in Q1 2001. Any comments on why
the steady downturn? My estimates are that they will
have an eps of US$ 1.50 to 2.50 for F2001.
AMPLATS has to worry about. Recently the SA gov
threatened to take away the claims they hold that aren't
being worked -- there goes their 100 years of
production. On the other hand, AMPLATS is actively exploring
for Pt and Pd -- you guessed it-- in
I get so sick of shorts hiding as a long to post
a black curtin over one of the best companys on the
board . we have enough ore to last a life
time, production increasing every year and very good prices with a
very high profit margin. what is so bad with that
I was talking with a dentist, that is in Rotary
club with me, about palladium use in dental work. He
said that palladium, platinum, and gold were pretty
much interchangeable. The reason they had been using
palladium was that it had been the cheaper of the three.
Now that gold is the "cheapest", we will see more
gold used in the dental market.
