Pullback today -- no damage done

Normal corrective action given the recent run-up. Consolidation in here would be healthy and would set the stage for bigger and better things when the market advance resumes. No worries, keep holding strong.

    • steady stream of insider buying. They do oil and gas exploration hard to find those type companies especially w/ only 20.mill shs outstanding and only a 7.8 million float. took quite a jump today 11% I think the takeover would be appx 15-16. If you want I find 2-3 a year of this type ie:ECSI thats why I bought ECSI i'll let you know. I do not like the smell of this buyout something is wrong and I don't know what I sold my position.

    • gotcha..thanks heres another takeover candidate you can check out GDP good luck

    • Does anyone know if this has to be voted on by shareholders? If so would they check w/institutional holders before they agreed to this to insure it would go thru????

    • Someone paying 11.60 to get 11.75 in 3 months derives an annualized return of .15/11.60 x 4 or 5.2%, less commission on the buy, and assumes the risk that something will occur to delay or cancel the deal. Not a great investment, unless you're betting on the price rising.

    • St. Jude makes asquisition
      $273 million for ECSI

StJ, CEO Dan Starks sees Growth Potential in teh atrial fib market.

Likes ECSI technology and new product pipeline...

    • People paying above $11.60 are betting on a chance of a better price from somebody else or from a higher agreed price with STJ. Otherwise, the numbers don't make sense as pure arbitrage.

    • I agree that the number is low. My guess is that a higher number was leaked last Thursday when the stock zoomed. Something then happened (perhaps Q3 earnings looking lower) which led to the 11.75 price. That change also leaked when the stock went below $10 earlier this week.

When I saw the Yahoo headline last night, I was thinking $13, too.

I wonder whether STJ getting into AF was looked at by ECSI as a potential threat if they didn't do a deal and pressured them to agree to a decent, but not great, number.

    • I don't know enough about how this company can do on it's own or if there may be reasons as to why they are letting it go for $11.75 or so a share (that # could change a bit it was an estimate) but do feel that there's not much positive priced into that # and it seems anyone at top who really believed in this company would hold out for a few years until it's running profitably - and then sell in the $20's...

Seems like lazy mngt here - not confident in their abilities to do it on their own - Sell Outs!

I bought this stock a little over $10.14 or so back in February on the assumption there would be growth and then a buyout...oh well!

by the way - the guy posting about longs being nervous must feel like a Chump for his posts!

way to stay in their longs and to any who may have grabbed recently in the 8.00 Range!!

    • dont post much but I can tell you they get a steal at 11.75 I am w/you hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but 13 is more like it.

    • I vote no. I want at least $13 for this stock.
