;-))....no crystal ball here - it was just my intuition considering all the news / reports I have read since I invested in this company. It is pretty obvious that SAN is a strong company which cannot be compared to the other Spanish banks or placed in the sole perspective of the Spanish general situation. SAN is larger than that and can afford to lose on certain markets.
I think the bulk of the announcement will be good but keep in mind that the stock market is forward looking. So if we see anything about the Spanish portion of the company having/continuing to have ill effects (which to some degree I'm sure it is/will) the rise could be limited or nonexistent. I sure hope that this isn't the case but it is something to watch closely. In other words I think Santander's overall sentiment is going to have a much greater effect on the share price than the actual numbers.
