Negotiations with unions always take a long time. Do you expect the unions to accept layoff plans by week's end? In Europe, severance compensation can be extreme compared to US practices. Don't get me wrong. I love SAN. Just think the turnaround will be a long, slow, grinding it out process.
If the compensation package will hurt SAN, are we saying that short term the price will go down? Or, even though there will be a big payout, the focus will be on reducing expenses longer term and the price will go up? Any thoughts?
Unfortunately for me, I haven't looked at this company a year ago (and should've when I bought BAC) and wondering if I should jump in or wait a bit. For whatever it means, Cramer seems to like it and sees the stock going up this year.
