the world markets where desapointed with .25 drop on interest rates.. they were looking for .50 we should see a world selloff tomorow and it will flow into our markets at the open... look for this one to be down should test 15..... going into the low tens.... stick around and you will see.. you dont need to much comomsence to see whats going on ,,, the earnings are not coming in at the top firms..they wont be any exception... plus the SEC are checking some of the earning some companies are reporting they sound to good to be true... a lot of firms are doing creative accounting... they ask the firm how much you want us to show as earnings... i think there will be better times this is not the time to be jumping in... good luck tomorow
look for this one to test 15 tomorow, by years end this one should give everthing back ... it sounds crazy but look around and you will see that is possible look at some firms highs and now look at where they are.... remember october is around the corner... and that tax time selling
You say "by years end this one should give everything back ...".
Are you saying that STD will be back at 27-29, or back at 6-7?
Is your point that the fluctuations, though severe, are short term? Or that the elevator is going down to stay, for awhile?
Do you really think that there will be much year end tax selling? I suspect that there will be much less this year as the decline has already been severe, and many people have already taken their tax losses already. I do agree that October can make people nervous.
I agree that sentiment is negative, but is the reality that bad?
By the way, do you own any STD? Have you owned any?
Dear Canoeist: Marcela's writings remind me very much of Nostradamus. You have to dis-encrypt her black-shrouded apocalyptic messages but at least she gives us the other side's versions. I say if the whole market is going to hell in a basket it will be a whale of an opportunity to buy. "If your problem has a solution why worry? And, if it doesn't, why worry?". Our STD is a sound bank with an extremely good management team. We should take the craziness of the market in stride, keep buying in the dips and we will all be in good shape. KING MIDAS.
