I would rather stay home and buy, than visit BBY, wouldn't you?
Even if the prices were the same through online, they're not, I would rather have my software, music, DVD's, accessories,etc.. delivered to my door or pc than getting out. Weather often a factor. Saves so much hassle. Answers are found easily online. Returns are easier too.
Big items, such as appliances and TV's are always going to find me at stores after I do comparison online. Hard for me to understand the shrinking segment that is still inefficient with their consumerism. Now, more than ever, it's important to save time and money.
Educate yourselves people. Quit hanging on to the Smith-Carona way of buying most of your electronic needs. : )
I agree with you Holly, the large retail store is mostly history now. Look at JCPenney for another one going down the drain. Computer City, CompuCom, MicroAge, and lastly Circuit City as all gone now. Only MIcroCenter survives and that is because it is LIMITED stores with GREAT product at a very competitive price.
Wow, Oldtimer, that sure was mean spirited.: (. Your time on here less than mine? We all have objectives.
I don't need my "social" skills enhanced by visiting a BBY and overpaying for most items. Then, if there is a problem, I have to trudge back to store, stand in line and have someone question my return and inspect the packaging. Also, having a 18 yr. old approach you and ask what phone carrier you're using your idea of stimulating conversation and not being "anti-social"?
Much rather stay in the warmth of my own home, save money, irritate you with truisms and get other things done around here. My SUV just drinks the gas. : /
