Ol Profit, the real reason csx stock, is not doing as good as the UP and BNSF, they are larger and are hauling more freight. Their coal shipment are low sulphur coal, They get more container freight to the west coast, have more back haul freight, than the CSX. Each have though train from the west coast to Chicago, transit time 2 day. The UP and BNSF, are working with coal companies, the states of Oregon and Washington, to increase coal shipment to Asia. Currently, OR and WA, liberal govenors, want EPA studies on the amout of coal dust, the train will leave along their routes and what effects it will have on their state. It is estimate 1,000,000, tons of coal will be moving by rail in 2020. From what I have read. The BNSF, appears to be the big winner when it come to hauling oil from the BAKKEN Oil Fields.
