    Lots of claims in 2006.

There is a very big increase in the number of posts about the Indian subcontinent being now awash & overflowing with Hydrocarbon and Hydrates and Multi Nationals outracing each other to get their bit in first.

Would appreciate if any knows of any Consultant who has listed all these sites with their assessments if any.

Also, has any one heard about OPEC asking India to join in as a senior Member because of these super size deposits?. I know that recently the Saudi Monarch visted India ; perhaps they too want a stake of the giant deposits.

    Thx.

    • Saudi Aramco has been included on the list of 8 to 10 interested bidders for the GSPC operating stake in KG-7 block. (I give them low odds of prevailing) UBS has been retained as GSPC's advisor to assist with the farm-in. For some reason, allot of big companies want in on this block and a "consultant" has been retained to weed through all of the bids.

Also "for some reason", Chevron took a 40% stake in the D6 block from RIL (who now says they have both oil and gas).

North and south of GSPC/GGR's KG-7 block, multi TCF fields have been independently certifed. You don't need a "consultant" to see this, go to Niko's or GGR's or GSPC's website.

India is the fastest growing country in the world, in which 50% of the population is still without electrical power. Common sense would indicate this is an incredible business opportunity for energy explorers and providers, albeit with risks included.

But there are those who choose to believe none of this. That's what makes markets.

    • ...don't think anyone is gonna bite that one...
