Good question, i have done some research but still not sure about the partnerships to come. Seems like they already have an Australian and Canadian partner(subsidiary in Canadian case). There will be money made in these cosmetic clinics no doubt. Dr. Victor had said they were planning to open 100 clinics in the US by end of 2013, but the FDA now states autologous stem cells are also considered drugs. So I'm a bit unsure about the US clinics.
Every country's stem cell regulations vary, the US seems to have very strict law, which in a way are good because it forces companies to be more creative. The asian market is huge, but the thing i worry about with Asia is the way to enforce accurate records of how many cosmetic procedures are actually done.
The recent news of our new board member from Arizona proves that Dr. Victor is serious about pursuing a heart IND. It has been a few years since evidence started to arise about adipose cells being more effective than marrow stem cells, so this makes sense.
Heart and other regen trials are important to purse, but i do think the real money to be made by this company is in the cosmetic area.....that's the here and now.
I hope that Dr. Victor will shed some light on these questions with a shareholders letter or blog post, would be nice since there is much uncertainty in this field already.
