spirit engineers and managers ---- their knowledge, skill and experience
I know a lot of spirit engineers and managers from Boeing days. In general, they were Boeing Wichita engineers and managers. They are trust fund babies of BCA, sad, but true and you can see they do not have the knowledge, skill and experience to develop anything! If 737 goes away, Spirit will vanish. Of course, Boeing will keep 737, so Spirit will live for a long time. Because Spirit started many new programs after Onex bought it out from Boeing, it will bleed till it cancels the new program. Spirit does not have capable engineers (only trust fund babies) to do R&D. I hope it does well as what is good for spirit is good for Wichita. Good luck.
Spirit managers and Engineers US born dont have much skills vs output, by this I mean they get paid too much for the output they deliver. Nothing against anybodies abilities, just that it is cheaper to do the work in India and china and get equal or better skills. All the Engineering is going to move outside. Money Money rules.
Same could be said for any aerospace engineer in the US, vs low paid engineers in India or China. Knowledge, skill and experience come from working with the product not from an advanced degree. However as Boeing is finding out, if you outsource too much, especially engineering, you will pay for it when you lose all your internal expertise.
